Extended length SS Rem 700 action screws - where to buy

Good evening gents, I’m on the hunt for a set of 1/4-28x 1.5” and 1/4-28x 1.75” extended action screws for the Rem 700. I have searched around here and on the web, but I’m not finding any sources for these in Canada. I was going to order a set or 2 from BAT machine, but figured I’d ask our CGN community if anyone in Canada has them.

Do you have a fastenal near your place? They are just 1/4" fine screws. You could pick any head type you like.

If you’re using Remington factory bottom metal, then they are not exactly the same. The factory screws have a different head shape than standard Cap Screws. Standard one will work, but won’t be properly seated and will likely protrude substantially from the floor plate.

If you use fastenall screws you may have to do a bit of shaping either with a small lathe or by chucking them in a drill press and using a file. The issue can be the way they seat onto the bottom metal and they might sit a little proud. Neither issue should affect function much, but if you’re concerned about looks, it can be a thing to watch out for. Numrich, Midway, etc will have the correct screws but they won’t be cheap.

I ordered a couple sets from Brownells with no problem whatsoever less than a year ago.
