Need some quick help from the CGN crew as my Google-fu is not very strong today.

Just looking for an Extended Magazine Release for a Gen 3 Glock 19 (standard plastic, don't need a HSLD version). If anyone can point me to a Canadian dealer who's got one I'd appreciate it. PM me if the dealer isn't a site sponsor.

Thanks Guys!

For the gen 3 G17 and G19 use the regular mag release for the G20 and G21 to get an extension. Should cost $5 max.

!? Moe, are you saying there's something out there that will give me a gen 4 type mag release for my gen 3 G21!? The mag release is the ONLY thing I don't like about the pistol. (I became accustomed to my G17Gen4 mag release)

Hope you didnt pay $30 for a $5 part!!

With taxes, shipping, duty, exchange, etc. There is no such thing as a "$5" part in Canada any more.

If you want the Glock factory extended mag release for the Gen3 (the only difference is it's longer, it doesn't extend further towards the back of the grip) call/email the Glock Canada rep and they'll probably send you one for free. If you want the one i installed, well, someone had to eat, so pony up the $30. Besides, it improves my mag changes so much (puts it exactly were my thumb can hit it without breaking grip at all) AFAIC, it's worth the small price to pay (especially since a Gen4 G19 is $1000 right now, which is the only other option to get a bigger mag release on this platform).

Last time I got 10 of them from Policeord... and they charged me $25 for 10 + shipping and tax. Came out to $5 each. I kept them on hand to upgrade Glocks on the spot when I use to teach Black Badge courses. They were cheaper than after market ones.

To be clear the Gen 3 Glock 20/21 mag release when installed on a Glock 17/19 gives you an extended mag release. Can't comment on what goes on with gen 4 guns.

In my experience, the OEM extended is easily bumped; you might find yourself dropping a magazine when you hadn't intended it.
The OEM on the Gen3 is a tad bit short for most people (to ensure that they drop a magazine ONLY when they intend to drop a magazine).
The Tangodown Vickers (GMR001) is perfect, except for the fact that it isn't legal in IPSC Production or IDPA SSP.
You've got to decide what is most important to you.
