I am toying with the idea of a 10mm pistol, and it looks like the Glock 20 is the most reasonable option. Does anybody make an extended ported barrel for it?

Why does Glock make a compensated .45ACP, but not a compensated 10mm?

Lonewolf makes an extended ported.
They also make threaded barrels for use with a compensator.

There is also ht tp://www.bb-enterprise.biz/productCat44769.ctlg

The glock 20c is the designation for the factory ported gun. It's also the only one that really benefits from it IMO. Otherwise lone wolf has some options available on the aftermarket side. I have used 6 of their barrels and am pretty happy with them.

I have a factory ported Glock 20c, it was purchased new as compensated. The ports are on the top of the barrel with 2 grooves cut in the slide to let it vent out. Shoots nice, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes compared to a standard 20.

Gentlemen: Thanks for your input. I was actually thinking of a barrel that extends beyond the slide, with ports. If there is indeed a compensated model, I guess I just have to shop around for it. It doesn't seem to be on the Glock website, but perhaps I just overlooked it.

While this is just my personal opinion I don't see the point in shooting a ported/comped 10mm. Porting a 10mm would basically just make it feel like its little brother, Why not just shoot 40 if you want less recoil?

Coming from you Camp Cook, I totally get that comment! LOL.

Since I too bought a Ruger SRH in 454 Casull, I tend to use my 10mm as just a plinker. A .40 is like shooting a .22lr!
