I need to extend the barrel on my 16" RRA ar15 by 3 inches to accommodate a fake can that I bought from spikes tactical, which otherwise hits the front sight.
What are the effects of a barrel extension on accuracy? The extended barrel's bore will have to be slightly bigger than the actual barrel (just to be safe), its also not going to be threaded, so I figured once the bullet + gasses enter this slightly enlarged space of the barrel extension, they can affect the ballistic properties of the flight path of the bullet.
Any input will be appriciated.
