Hey guys-I decided to try one of those Etotech Rimfire units on a 10/22, and the base of the optic actually overhangs that wide receiver, at least 1/4" over the ejection port. I think you'd have to be careful the mounting screws didn't take a ribbon of skin off your knuckle even if the charging handle was 1" long. I think 1.25" long would be the minimum maybe?

Can anyone recommend something that long? Not a glitzy gun, so black/grey....cylindrical? Some of those hook shaped ones seem interesting, no experience with those...but don't see one as long as I need.

TIA!

Pike Arms make some nice ones but not sure if they’ll ship too Canada. A cut off centerfire casing epoxied over the original has been used before. The Dlask and Kidd are nice but only minimally longer than stock version.

The bolt handle length is 1 3/4", which is 1/4" longer than the factory bolt handle giving greater clearance for the shooter's knuckles while racking the bolt.

That's only US$138. per inch.
