Extra spring with my new CZ Shadow?

Hi all,

So I just picked up my new Shadow, my first cz, and was wondering if anyone knows what the extra spring included is for? It looks like a mainspring but there is no rating or anything on it. Anyone got any ideas?

I asked this just a few weeks back. The consensus was that it is simply a spare mainspring of the same weight as the one in the gun.

Nope, nothing is mentioned in the manual. I was curious about this spring as well when I recd my Shadow. Anyway,, just a spare main spring.

Took a while to figure out how to remove the main spring too. It's kind' of a pain in the ass.

Thanks for the replies guys. I wonder why they would toss that in, didn't think the mainspring would be a wear item.... Maybe they assumed we would modify one of them and needed a replacement spare to switch back in to keep it stock for competetion.

yeah, springs have to be replaced every once in a while, just like your car's suspension
