Extracting an Ejector?

Any tips on getting an ejector out of an AR15 bolt?

The retaining pin is removed, but the spring has broken, disintegrated whatever- there is no spring force in it. So it won't pop out on it's own. And I can't seem to jiggle or pry it out. Any ideas?

compressed air into retain pin hole ........ watch it fly ... maybe find it

Spring is holding it in hole

Soak it in penetrating fluid then smack it bolt face first onto a hard surface?

Or the first reply into a towel to try to recover the parts.

I actually did try a magnet. Maybe a stronger one would work. Good suggestions.
