Extreme Longrange

Does anyone have experience in reloading ATips in this calibre? We don't have any Bergers but have ATips and ELD Match.

We are putting together some .338 LM and 300 NM rifles for ELR as hopefully there will be a match sometime at Gagetown.

We can test locally. Should be fun and and interesting learning curve.

I think he's wondering why Berger refuses to provide bullets to their customers in Canada. It's almost like they dislike us, the way they treat us.

We sell lots of Bergers and have many in stock, but don't have the appropriate .30/.338 cal for our purpose. Demand for Berger is extraordinary and they dominate FClass and other disciplines - the factory is swamped!.

The purpose of post is to hopefully hear from those that have used the bullets mentioned. Looking for load data.

I've been in the market for 3-10k of the Berger 6mm 109gr hybrids for the last 9 months and haven't found anyone that will provide them.

This thread is not about Berger availability. As mentioned we are looking for info on the bullets mentioned or others, as well as reloading and experience for 300 Norma Mag and .338 Lapua Mag for longrange(1800m+).

Hi Peter

no direct experience, but after you asked i did some searching.

Atip 250gn powder most commonly mentioned V570 charge weights 87gn jumping (with near .400 freebore) the usual caveats apply. work up the load

The 250 Atips will be a dedicated system... too much freebore for 215-230 class bullets

I load the 285 ELD-M with 89gr of H1000 for a velocity of 2780fps in Lapua brass and a 215M primer in a Savage 110BA but I have no experience with the distances you are shooting at.
My load outperforms the factory Lapua 250gr ammo in my rifle.
