Hey everyone. I want to preface this that I am extremely new to hunting/sporting rifles and generally bolt actions, this is my first one, so if I say something stupid or use wrong words: Sorry for that! (I am also not english native so a lot of the words may be wrong because of that, if not I am still gonna use this excuse)

I have a pretty new Mauser M18 in 6.5 Creedmoor. It generally shoots well but ever since my second range visit with it I am having a super hard time extracting fired cases. Unfired ones work totally fine. Bolt closes well and extracting unfired ones works splendid too. But fired cases get stuck pretty hard. I had some thoughts and did some research and checked with a go/no-go gage and it does what it is supposed to do. Also: Some factory ammo is much easier to extract than others: The S&B "Tactical" (so tactical) for example usually works a bit better than the Federal Non-Typical I tested out. Since it's pretty early in me owning it I haven't tested out too much more ammo.

Here are some photos of the brass coming out of it:

First I thought I did not clean it well enough, but after the last visit I did clean it good and today had the same problem. It's not strength either, while I'm not the strongest of people I had some buddies test it out who are and they have the same problem.

After cleaning it today I ran a borescope through it and found a tiny piece of copper stuck to the neck of the chamber, could that be adding to it? I tried a lot to get it out but it seems to be stuck really well in there, so any tips on that would be appreciated as well.

Tried to take a photo of it, it's on the upper left:

Anyways, if you have any thoughts or if you think I should take it to the shop or a gunsmith (Vancouver area, it was bought at reliable gun) let me know!

In case you want to take a look at the bolt itself, here's an album: Photos of the bolt and the other ones in here.

Thank you very much for reading, appreciate it!

One of my range buddies had a similar issue with his factory rifle. He took it to his local gunsmith shop and there were chamber dimension issues that they fixed. A fellow named Gary Flach is local to you. He has given me good service, timely, and reasonably priced. He is on here as GEF.

We have seen this on a regular basis in the last few years on our range .
Both Federal and Hornady ammo.
Other brands had no problem in the same rifle worked perfectly.
It happens when you get a rifle with a tight bore and ammo on the large end of SAAMI specifications.
The fix is to shoot hand loads only .
