Shopping around for a scope I'realized that the eye reliefe range has got to be one of the most important if not the most important specs on a scope. To me Bushnell Elite's is the most forgiving in the $200-$300 bracket. I've looked at Prostaff, Redfield, luepold and while cleare and bright they all "black out" with the slightest movement, especially in higher matnification. Do you agree?

I tend to like my scope further away from my eye than normal people, mainly because of some scope burn issues in the past so I know what you mean. I have an Elite on my Tikka 300 win mag and really like it.

Bushnell banner 1.75x4 on my slug gun with 6 inches and hawke elicpse 4x16 which has 3.8 to 4.4 inches for my 300 win. Once you have been hit in the brow or nose you look for eye relief as the first criteria.
