I plan to post a Polish Radom 9mm semi-auto for sale that was built by the Germans during WW11 IN decent shape but I dont know how much it is worth. All help would be appricated. It has all proof marks in place

Samson, go to GunsAmerica and see what Radoms fetch. Radoms are collectable whether it is an early Polish model or a last ditch Nazi model. The fit and finish on the early Radoms rivals that of early Browning High-Powers. As WWII progressed the fit and quality declined but, again, the later Radoms are still prized. Regards, Richard :D

HAHAHAHA Gunsamerica. Sorry wrong country bucko. Thats like telling someone to check what there FAL is worth as a pre-ban on a US forum.

Fact of the matter is there are alot less people in Canada then the USA, and even less people who buy handguns. From your description 600$ or less. it all depends on markings and condition. Get some pictures online and people will be in a better position to tell you.

Scarecrow,

I figured Samson could use what a Radom is worth in US dollars and convert it to Canadian. this pistol is a gorgeous early WWII Radom and they are asking $1,275 (US) for it:

This is a late WWII model (note missing levers) and the asking price is $795 (US)

The Americans pay what they pay because they have more gun owners, more collectors, and more people that can buy guns then we do. The average M1 carbine there is 1K, here its half that.

I have a late model radom exactly like that picture, I payed 500$ for the gun from Marstar and they arent known for being cheap.

Canada isnt the USA, people who charge US prices dont actually want to sell there guns anytime this year.

Scarecrow,

Would you please post a picture of your Radom. I do not own one but I am keen on them.

I can see your point but Canadiens tend to pay a lot more than I have for similiar handguns. Do you want examples? I paid about $259 (US) for my CZ75B, $450 (US) for my Glock 21, $525 (US) for my Springfield 1911A1 Loaded, and the list goes on. What I see as real bargains in Canada are FAL rifles, you can buy them for a song.

Lastly, my intent was to give Samson some knowlege of Radom 35s.

Regards,

Richard :D

Those are newly manufactured handguns, they sell at a premium. You have to take US export fee's, taxes, and dealers profits on there. We are talking used guns that entered the country probably around WW2 or later on from marstar in the early 90's for 300$.

Good condition its 900$ US buy now. In Canada that would have problems selling at 500$ Canadian.

900$!!! I payed under 500 for my inland.

My bore is EXC BTW.

Scarecrow, thanks for the pictures, I appreciate them. Your Radom appears to have been manufactured late in the war. I know this because it is missing one of the levers as a cost cutting measure. I do not know if it is true or not but I have seen advice that said to have the later pistols checked for safety because of possible sabotage. Again, thanks and regards, Richard :D

USA vs. CDN Pricing.

Not about Radoms but about the USA vs. CDN prices on handguns... look what authentic USGI 1911 pistols are going for in the USA. Well worn but original 'beaters' are getting $800-$1,000 US dollars in the USA. Whereas up here the same pistols are in the $350 - $550 range in Canadian bucks. And less if it's just a "parts gun". ;)

Thats why the barrels where made at Steyr instead of poland like the rest of the gun. The really late radoms have wooden grips. My gun also shows signs of being used by german police after the war. Should be real safe.
