f class front rest

lots of good Fclass shooters use the Harris, the Sinclair is getting popular and the Henry Remple is a caddy really slick to use, but it weighs 3 lbs 1oz and that goes into your total weight of your Rifle for F/TR class 18.25 lbs max including front rest

Here's my modified Harris.

Are those feet on the Harris made or bought
Made on the lathe. Don't know of any aftermarket feet for them.
The beauty of the modified Harris is lightweight, economical, portable and as solid as anything out there.
I can hit a V-Bull anytime if I read the wind right. :)

Gave up on my Hart pedestal rest over a decade ago. Too much to carry around.

There is a decided regional flavour to F-Class Support.

Most Westerners worship Henry Rempel and his excellent F-Class Bi-pod. The Eastern Shooters like BR front rests, and the push-me-pull-you AC/DC manitobans seem to be half and half.

As to FTR which has a lower allowable maximum weight, most use harris derivatives. Some use the expensive and fragile Weil carbon fiber copies of the Rempel, and the rest use the Sinclair bipod.

I not entirely sure but in FTR pedestel rest are not allowed.

Correct, they are not allowed in F/TR. Here are the ICFRA rules straight from the pages..

An F/TR Class rifle is limited to .223 Remington or .308 Winchester calibre chambers or
their commercial metrification equivalents. Chamber dimensions must conform to SAAMI
or CIP dimensions. Ammunition may be commercially made or hand-loaded as defined in
Rule F2.24. There is no restriction on bullet weight. The F/TR rifle class is limited to the
use of an attached bipod and/or a sling as front supports, optionally together with a rear bag
none of which provide a positive mechanical means of returning the rifle to its precise point
of aim for the next shot . The overall weight must not exceed 8.25kg including all
attachments (such as, but not limited to, its sights and bipod, if any). NB: An ‘attachment’ is
defined as in Rule F2.2. All other Technical Rules apply.

That is ICFRA. DCRA has a "Farky" Class that does allow front rests. It is essential to know what rules are being applied
