Hi everyone,

I'm wondering what your F Class/FTR guys are using for a rear bag with your front bipod? I assume the majority are going to say a squeeze bag. Where did you get yours, and now that you've had some time with it, would you get the same one?

I'm currently running a Protektor 13A with my Cowan pedestal rest off the bench, but find that the 13A is too tall when running the MPod or Remple and am looking for a new bag. My 13A is pretty much full of sand, and doesn't offer much/any squeezability.

Thanks,
Cal.

I have an Edgewood, but it's $$$. I used to have another bag and it was great for shooting from a sitting position, but once I started shooting lying down, with variable slopes it was too short so I got the higher Edgewood.

Sounds like you were having the opposite problem I'm currently having. ;)

Thanks,
Cal.

That's what I thought as well. Maybe it's like buying a pair of shoes, no one size fits all. Have you tried your setup lying down on a hill? I was shooting on a bench for a few months and it worked great until I went to the local long distance range and tried it on a hill.

The range I'm shooting at has an odd slope to it. It is basically a capital J shaped valley, where I'm on the small downhill slope (head downhill from my feet) shooting at a larger uphill slope. I need my MPod or Remple at close to full height to reach out to where I want to be. My large 13A isn't helping anything.

Thanks,
Cal.

Ah, That makes sense then. Which bipod do you like the best?

Different beasts for different purposes. The MPod is great if I have to trek in anywhere. Incredibly light. The Remple is easier to adjust when lying prone on a flat surface, whereas the MPod is easier to get an initial setup on rough or uneven surfaces. Both are just as solid as the other. I really like the wide footprint of the MPod when adjusted tall.

Thanks,
Cal.

Cal, give me a shout... you may enjoy the long leg set for the MPOD.
