F Class Nationals

now i understand. By changing the case you got more internal volume. How do primer pocket loosen up with those Win cases ? I'm not used to those case.

He did not change the dimensions of the case, he uses a faster powder so uses less to achieve desired velocity, hence more room in the case.

Guessing if Varget was used he would not be able to get enough in there to make up for the lost velocity of the slippery bullet.

Cyan1de,

i know he did not change the dimensions of the case, Winchester brass are thinner than Lapua brass, so by default there is more internal volume as external dimensions do not change.

like you says, i would be curious to find out about the burning rate he's using.

Arrived back home last night; had a wonderful time at the FCNC!

For the record; I was shooting Berger 155.5 gr FBT. I was very pleased with the results given that it was the first match in which I shot the new rifle.

can you manage to gain some speed with this setup !

It's more to reduce pressure than try to get more speed on my part - also trying to see if the time between cleanings increases (I miss moly for that). Just something I'm experimenting with.

Does anyone happen to know who the gentleman that was taking pictures of all the award winners at the prize ceremony is? I think he was from out west. If so could you please PM me his info?

Thanks,

Scott
