Hey Gang,

I'm a new member to the ORA and did the intro day recently to get familiar with the disciplines offered, F Class has caught my attention most deeply over the other disciplines. I'm a 2 hour drive away from Borden and a bit further from Milcun where I understand most of the practices and matches are held, which isn't a problem on the weekend but during the week when from what I can tell is when most practices sessions are held (Wednesday nights) between work and family commitments Wednesdays are not an option for me unfortunately.

Is my understanding correct that weekends are more focused around actual matches and practice sessions are primarily on Wednesday evenings?

I also shoot rimfire but there's nothing better than letting the big guns roar from my perspective.

The majority of events are at Borden (12) with a few at Milcun (3). You can check the schedule under EVENTS subcategory (Target rifle & F class) on the ORA website.
Wednesdays evenings are practice days at Borden.
There are no matches held during the week, with limited practices on weekends.
The schedule is up to date according to the ORA.

A match can be a formal practice and you can shoot just one of the days.
The next match is June 10-11... Sat could be a good opportunity to practice with two relays at 600 stretching out to 1,000 in the afternoon

Sat AM 2ss + 10 @600Y x 2,
Sat PM 2ss + 15 @ 1000Y,
Sun AM 2ss + 15 @ 900Y,
Sun PM 2ss + 15 @ 1000Y

Thanks Trevor that's helpful info to know, I didn't realize there was a match fee as well for each of the matches that you go to when I signed up (realize that may sound really dumb but I overlooked that entirely). So I guess it would be $110 to come out and shoot on the Saturday even if I was treating it as a practice day.

You would need to confirm by signing up on practice score or emailing the ORA, matches typically have a daily rate i believe one day would cost $55.
