Which is a decent shooting mat for F-Class?
What futures I need to look for?
It is better to have soft and thick or lite and thin?

Thanks

Mostly depends on the state of the mounds where you do most of your shooting. Most that I've shot on are pretty decent grass, so light/thin works nicely. That would not be nice on a gravel or concrete shooting position like you would find at Rattlesnake, or Sacremento...

Google centrethegroup and check out their roll out shooting mat, simple and all you need, plus it has that nice canvas smell!

I like thicker. The more comfort the better for laying in uneven ground. Then there's the bugs crawling around and wet ground, so anything is better than none. An old piece of tarp served me well for a time. I now use an NRA style target rifle foldup mat.

centerthegroup makes an F Class mat. It might not be on there website yet, but it is about 1.5 times wider than his regular tri-fold mats. And you can get just about any colour you want.

Go for their tri-fold ... I never used a mat until I shot Nokomis for the first time ... and couldn't get a mat fast enuf after that experience!

I use the Tri Fold as well but I use it backwards as I don't need the rubber elbow area for F-Class.

I wish you could order one without the extra rubber as it gets extremely hot in the summer and burns my legs when I lie on it with shorts.

I am sure Paul would make you one without the rubber.

Rich, sounds like you need to get a fold out purse liner instead of a mat. That or you could wear clothes at the range.
