If there is anyone interested in shooting the F Class World Championships at Bisely, England in July 2009. Please see the ORA webpage for further details.
w w w.ontariorifleassociation.org.

I understand this is a Canadian Team not on ORA Team.

Hey Tom,
What's the chances (do you think) since we now have a Conservative Leadership that we can recruit some sponsors for an ALL Canadian Team?
Probably about as much as the Canadian World's Bench Rest team got from
the Government.
Sorry Mr Pastor , although we'd love to have you along, you'll either have to emigrate and seek political asylum or
I could adopt you ?????????????????????????
Maybe we'll see you there under the Stars and Stripes ????
Sounds like this'll be a blast and only 2+ years prep time.
Gord

Adopting Bob Pastor ? Sure.. He laughs at my jokes... Good enough to adopt him as long as he adopts some of us to Michigan. Hey, isn't Michigan a "Shall Issue CCW" State?

I might just consider shooting at the CFRC / DCRA F Class matches in August this summer if my schedule allows... with my newly built 6.5 x 284 that ONT00001 convinced me to build. yuk yuk yuk

I know you're tempted Hungry.....

but don't shoot that barrel out before serious matches start....
No date yet from Cutter but I told him I gotta be walking for June.
NSSC in Gravel Belly this year???
Just remember past 600 6.5 rules:dancingbanana:
or at least we think we do:onCrack:
I'm waitin for Bob to see this post.

Would I be considered an experience shooter yet maynard? I think it would be fun to do!!!

Sure, but once you get to the top of the hill at Stickledown, experience goes out the window:eek:

Bob will have to show residence here in Canada to shoot on the Canadian Team. Bob, park your camper at my place and you can put a mailbox out front.

Gord, chances of getting Government sponsorship would be as slim as any other Canadian Team to Bisley. You have a better chance of giving birth.:p

Bob should be able to join the same asylum that we are all in

Greetings Brothers In Arms

Greetings Brothers and Wanna Be Parents,

Tom, I have a mailbox all picked out and you would be my first choice as far as adoption. Sandy is a great cook!

As I told Jim Thompson, During the last four years, I've learned to end each sentence with "AHE'!, I love to eat at Timmy's place, Always wear RED and I even sleep in The Canadian Tire Store parking lot.

How much more Canadian can I be?

As much as I hate flying, I'd fly with you guys anytime. I've made an offer to anyone going on the F Class Team- If you need a rest or just have yours adjusted or jazzed up, I'll do what I can to help.

I don't think the U.S. Team would have me. I don't have much F Class experience, just bench rest stuff.

Gord, Thanks again for all your generosity! Those two new barrels that UPS delivered today are greatly appreciated!

Rick, When are you going to shoot this year?

With Best Regards,
The Avenging Angel,
Bob

Bob, you could always travel to the UK like the old Bisley teams did, by ship.
Ask Art about that :p (I can get away with that comment because I know Art isn't on CGN).
You don't have to be on an official team member to go over and shoot. There may even be room in the Canadian pavilion. Norbert and Jean stayed there one time.

I don't know about that Gord. I think he would have to be chained at all times. You would have to carry a big stick to stop him from leg humping everyone.:D

Bob, I have been tuning into the ORA website for months now, axiously awaiting the match schedule for Cedar Springs. Is it possible that the first match in Ontario will be Ottawa??????????????????????????/
I even traveled all the way to michigan to pickup some DND legal 30 cal.
pills so I wont get thrown out or put in the stockade.
How do Gords barells shoot??? I suppose it will take about 1000 rds down each one to find out??????????????/

Gords Barrels

My two year old Grand Son is presently checking the bores for diameter. He's fitting pebbles from the driveway in each barrel. Oops, it looks like he's found a tight spot. One is now stuck half way down but he'll get it out with a long screw driver!

Rick,

You can shoot in my back yard until Ottawa. If it's raining, we can shoot out my office door.

Bob ....always liked the way you lapped my barrels.!!!
Hope you let the grandson tune your scope with a ballpeen hammer:)
Check your email.

OK just to add some redeeming value to this post...........
Let's take a gander at "THE World Class F Shooter's Dream Equipment set up"
Just figure you have zero equipment now and put together your MUST HAVE list to shoot Bisley. Rifle(s) action ,barrels, stock, triggers ,caliber.scope,Front rest rear bags, etc. You have until 2009 ;;;;GO!

Equipment for Bisley

8.5" Bat Model M action, left port, right eject.
1 oz. Jewel trigger.
Broughton 6.5 8 twist, 31.5" really heavy varmint barrel
Tooley McMillan Bench rest stock.
Leopold 25-50X scope with Mark 4 target knobs.
Custom made Viper International front rest.
Custom made Edgewood Long rear bag with double stitched cordora, medium bunny ears.
A Paul Bawden custom mat, extra wide with plenty of padding.
One very good rain suit for the mucky weather.
One pair of really cool sun glasses just in case the sun should come out.

Bob you forgot to mention your LUCKY RED Jacket.
I like your specs.Only thing I'd vary is 12-42 Nightforce but I do like the Leups too.
I think I would use right port right eject for prone (just my preference)
If we were on the bench LP/RE would be my choice as well.
For those that haven't had the chance to see one, could you post a pic of that Viper rest?
Agree that EDgewood's are the way to go for rear and front bags.I got a 3 stitch med ears for the flat channeled butstock.
What do you think of using barrel blocks??????
