So, I acquired an old side by side in very rough shape. I've got no real use for and I think I'm going to try to sell it. But, I don't know anything about them or possible value. Mostly I'm trying to figure out if it's worth selling as a restoration project, or just as a wall hanger.
It's an F Dyke & Co side by side with extractors, double triggers and internal hammers.
I'm trying to determine if it's a high quality gun worthy of a restore( it'd be a pretty major project, but doable I think)or if to sell it for somebody to hang in the cabin.
Any info anybody has about this brand of shotgun would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot: Barry

If it is a boxlock in the condition you describe, it doesn't matter if it is a project or a wall hanger, the value will be low. Old and English doesn't make it worth money, condition does. It is the cost of money that would have to be put into it that will be a determining factor of what someone would pay, providing the gun is even worth putting money into.

Post some pics.
