F1 Firearms or Falkor Defence in Canada?

My thinking these days is that, if you want a high end AR, the best move is to find one in the States and import it through IrunGuns, rather than trying to piece it together. Premium parts are so rare and overpriced here.

Yeah! Falkor!

I disagree, While you might get more burnt powder residue, I dont think you'll get more lube, if you put that much lube on it that its throwing it at you, you might have another problem.

If you want a light weight accurate AR I think they are perfect for that. and the Falkor if you want a light weight 300 WM or 300 Norma :D

Yeah, I guess that while it is an assumption it is going to throw sh!t everywhere out those gills, I don't think it is too difficult to fathom based on how much gas, lube and crap comes out of a normal ARs gaps in the receivers, out the back of the charging handle and out the ejection port.

I don't typically lube the crap out of an AR unless it needs it. One needs no lube on it for parading in front of a mirror or have it sitting perched in a display, so maybe you're right. ;)

I think the weight savings gained from some slots on the receiver is mostly a red herring. An ounce? Two tops?

Don't let my negativity stop you from dropping 3K on this marvellous piece of engineering though.:d

It might be a pound lighter at most, What I'm curious on is cooling, I bet with all those vents it stays pretty cool though especially if you dump a bunch of mags quickly. Apart from looking cool I know guys who do run them are very happy with them

Hello Gents,

I realize that I am 2 years late into the thread ........ BUT, I have the first Falkor Petra to land in Canada and what a cluster ##### to get it here. It was denied twice by the rcmp, sent back to falkor, rebuilt and finally approved as NON restricted. It took 36 months to get it here.

It has not been fired yet.

If anyone has interest, please let me know. Pics etc available .. whatever you need.
