Got two new Fab Defense mags, took it out for a quick test drive while sighting in the setup.
Not much of a range report, my observation based on my small sample size is that the spring seems a fair bit weaker than surplus metal mags, so much so that my Fab Defense mags are not holding the bolt open most of the time. I experimented by pushing on the bottom floor plate button to increase the spring tension, then the bolt hold open function became more consistent. I believe I can fix it by adding something inside the mag to increase the spring tension. Which leads to my question.
Can someone please explain how I am supposed to remove the floor plate? I know there is the button but the plate does not seem to slide off like PMags would.

The BHO on mine all worked on the range yesterday in an older Czh2003.

Floorplate comes off just like a p-mag. Use a pencil, push down the centre button, slide the plate forward (toward the muzzle if it were in the gun)

Keep in mind you wont be able to remove the spring and follower though on account of the rivet.

Got it off thanks TV-PressPass, guess I just had to push harder. Didn't want to monkey it and break something.
Next I will find a way to increase the spring tension a bit.

Is there a warranty? Maybe the springs can be replaced. New mags shouldn't need blocks of wood stuck in them to work properly... Just a thought: If the rivet blocks the spring from traveling up and down in the mag, perhaps not enough spring links are above the rivet to give you the tension you need. Is it possible to work a few more coils past the rivet?
