Sorry for the long post.
Looking for some help guys. I'm in the market for a short shotgun and have narrowed it down to the fabarm 11" pistola or the 14" martial ultrashort. I've held both at the store and can't decide. Please help.
I am missing a bit of information though...what is the tube capacity of the two? It says on the fabarm website and a few places that the 11" will hold 4 in the tube and the 14" will hold 5 in the tube. The dealer told me different. Then I thought I read another number somewhere else.
What is the real capacity of the two shotguns with 2 3/4" shells in the tube only? This might make my decision easier.
Any tricks to getting an extra shell in?
I haven't owned a shorty shotgun before so I need your help. The intended use of this shotgun would be to take it with me fly fishing (wearing it on my back), camping, a little hiking, and just general defence of anything that comes bumping in the night. I'm talking general defence of wild animals of the 4 and 2 legged variety. And yes, of course, I want a new toy as well.
So what are your suggestions either way 11" or 14" barrel?
The one thing was the 11" has nice sights but seem to be quite high and I worry about it catching on whatever I put it in on my back...the back sight is removable the front is not according to what I was told by dealer (red and green sights). Well not easily removed...probably some gunsmithing required.
The 14" just has a regular bead sight at the front.
Any help please, please.
I'm not concerned about price difference between the two.
