I can get my hands on a used Fabarm 12g semi auto for around $500. I have never heard of Fabarm. Can anyone enlighten me on how these guns are, where they are made, new prices, and any thing else.

You won't find a semi Fabarm for 500. Used pump sure, but not the SAT8.

Do a search for Fabarm and all your questions will be answered. They rock.

Well it says Fabarm, it has engraving on it, and he wants $500. I did search Fabarm and next to no info on them. The gun does not look like any of there new models but does look similar. I have pictures but not sure how to load them on here. I can e-mail them if you would like to have a look. All he found stamped was ch76 which is just a 76mm chamber or 3". The gunlooks beautiful but I would like some specs and feedback before I purchase. The guy selling it got it from his grandpa so he's not to firmiliar with it.

Sure you will. I know it will come as a tremendous surprise to the tacticool but Fabarm has made and continues to make a variety of semi-automatic shotguns for hunting and sporting purposes.

To the OP, it's tough to know whether this gun is worth the price. The model, barrel length, condition of the metal and wood, choke (tubes, fixed?), etc. would be helpful.

Somewhere on the barrels or receiver there will be a date code usually a two letters. Use this chart to fine the gun's age.

Guilty - you're right - I never thought about the hunting lines. I was thinking SAT8 only. Although I have no experience with Fabarm other than the Martial Pro Forces and the O/U lines, I wouldn't hesitate to buy ANY Fabarm. They are a great manufacturer!

I can't see how you can go wrong with 500 bucks for an italian semi. The wrist looks a bit thick for my taste, but looks like it's in good condition. Not hot on the porting either, but for the price I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try.

Well I am going to purchase it, but I would still like to know what model it is and how old. Maybe when I see it in person I cann find the stamp.

Well heres an update, I picked it up yesterday and brought it home. It has a picture of 2 dogs attacking a wild boar on one side, and a picture of 2 dogs chasing a bird of some sort. Now heres my issue, When I got it home I tried loading some shells, but it kept getting stuck trying to load the second shell. It also gets stuck trying to eject the shell. What I figure is that it needs a good cleaning and oiling. If there is somthing else that I should be looking for let me know.
