SDASS Heavy Combat w/ muzzle break $579.00
SDASS Composite $549.00
SDASS Trainer (w/ cooling jacket) $579.00
SDASS Trainer Nickel (w/ cooling jacket) $729.00
SDASS Trainer - Karbon finish $729.00

I held the SDASS Heavy Combat with Muzzle Break on saturday. VERY nice, everything seems strong, and very fluid action, compared to the new remington tactical, and a mossberg marine. I'm probably going to pick one up.

I'm looking at switching my wish list from the 870 MM to the Trainer nickel. They both seem comparable, but the SDASS has chokes. What can anyone say about the nickel or Karbon finishes. How do they stand up to water? I'm looking for a shotty that I can use in the shower.

Any oppinions?

Stay away from the nickel Trainer. The finish is terrible. I had the mistake of buying one without inspecting it closely. The nickel on the inside of the receiver was peeling everywhere. I promptly returned the gun.

I've just bough a SDASS Por Force, first shotgun....verry nice, verry verry nice. Smooth and almost perfect....not shot it yet, but I got the MB and a choke.....no regrets....

Shooting opinon to come

The Karbon finish is a plastic coating like they use for cammo patterns on other shotguns. It is only applied to the receiver and heat shroud. It likely provides protection against rust, but it is not as durable as nickle plating or even parkerizing.
