They are very well made guns, fit and finish is top notch. The actions on the pumps are butter smooth, I can only guess that the break actions and the semi autos are equally as well put together.

I have a 14" Pro Forces with a Door Breacher/Brake. Really nice ghost-ring sights...I have shot clay pigeons with it...good accuracy. Adding a limb-saver made it fun to shoot. The spring loaded self- closing breach is nice once you get used to it. No short stroking. Need a chamber flag at the range, though (breech won't stay open). I have only had it jam once in about 400 rounds....it had not been cleaned in about 250 rounds...and the one that jammed had been dropped in sandy soil. No problems since. It is short enough with the stock all the way in that I can swing it in any hallway in my home. Perfect for home defence. On the down side...a little pricey. Harder to get parts. Shooting Edge has parts.
Hope this helps

Over under is the only type I haven't had. But overall Fabarms are amazing quality.

I have a 14" fabarm pump which is my best pump gun and super smooth.

I have a fabarm ellegi semi auto from the 80's which I put over 3000 rounds through.

And I have a fabarm XLR composite I've put around 2000 rounds through.

All wonderful, my favorites.

Ive got a Fabarm Elos B 28inch O/U (back in South Africa) , and its a really top notch shotgun.........dare I say almost on par with Beretta.

Where can you buy them in Canada? (I may sell mine in SA, and just buy another here in Canada)

Sole distributor is shooters edge in Calgary.

Owned an Axis, and Elos C over/under - they are fantastic shotguns. Italian quality - I've never had any issues with any of the 13 Fabarm shotguns I've owned/own.

Bluing is top notch - rich and glossy. Wood is above average for the price point.

You wont be disappointed with ANY Fabarm shotgun - but I like their O/U's the best.

I have the XLR Composite, great gun, want a 28ga Elos, just waiting to hear back on ETA from the Shooting Edge.
Do the o/u ever come up used? it seems they either don't sell very many or people hang on to them

I have an xlr composite and an Elos Black Diamond. Both quality guns.
Chokes offer excellent performance.
Have taken people out on Silver Willows course and they usually have better success with the XLR than my Beretta 400.
The O/U is on par with any Beretta in the same price range that I've shot.
Only minor complaint would be the discoloring of the composite stock on the XLR

I have two and have owned many, the two I have kept are a pump 11 inch and an elos deluxe O/U , they are much better than any of my browing or beretta O/U guns

Discolouring? whereabouts on the stock? Iv'e had mine for a little over five years, taken it duck hunting, pheasant hunting and use it for skeet and sporting clays a couple times a week and have had zero issues with the finish.
i've heard that using deet based bug sprays mess up the duratouch finish on Browning/Winchester synthetics.

Right on the pistol grip and fore end. Basically where I grip the gun. Mine is the olive colored one. It's strictly cosmetic not sticky or breaking down just darker/discolored.
Don't use bug spray but in all fairness the gun has seen a fair bit of use, probably 20 cases or so.

Interesting, must just be the olive colour, 20 cases is not that much though. i easily have 3 times that through mine. Still interested in knowing what is causing it though, so i can avoid doing it to mine. even though i kinda led this thread off track. Still the best autoloaders on the market.

Fabarm just has no idea how to market their guns, and a single distributor in a country where about 20 to 25% of the population own guns is just idiotic. They did themselves even worse in the US, they had no importer for many years and even worse customer support.
They know how to make them, just not how to sell them.

15,000 rounds ? Any parts breakage ?

Son has the same gun and his isn't discoloring assume it's something in my chemistry that causes it. My hands chew up guitar finishes as well.

at least 15000, no parts breakage, still works as it did when i bought it. it might just be the green that discolours.

I own the Waterfowl OU model in 3.5 and my daughter has the 3inch model. Both work great and I'm a fan of the extended chokes for steel.

She also shoots the Noble 20ga SxS model for pheasant. Very nice light and smooth gun. We have no complaints.
