I am looking at these two but can't decide which one is the better. I am looking at the tactical aspects in the shotgun not hunting of game reasons. So if there is any first hand knowledge on these two systems your input would be greatly appreciated. Note: this shotgun must be able to mount a pistol grip since a hand injury makes the traditional stalk fired shotguns extremely difficult for me operate.

I haven't had any experience with the new Super Nova series so I can't comment on them. The FABARM however is a very nice shotgun. I have used a 14" barreled pistol grip stocked model extensively and think it is the best deal on the market for the price. The versitility of this shotgun is great with the threaded muzzle allowing use of the muzzle brake or any choke of your choice (Turkey hunting). The 14" barrel is the way to go in my opinion as it keeps the gun handy and lightweight.

The FABARM also has the picitanny rail and ghost ring sights available as well as an optional picitanny rail on the forend for mounting flashlights etc. The controls are well laid out and the pump has a return spring on it to facilitate very quick reloads.

The FABARM would be a great choice.

IMHO, Fabarm looks good, but.... I'va had 2 Nova before and I've handled the new Super Nova. Way better built than the Fabarm. More rugged. Also, you can take a look at Rem 870 with the speedfeed pistol grip.

I own the Fabarm and have shot the Benelli Nova (I also have a Benelli M4)

Both shotguns have some unique features:

The Fabarm has the nifty spring assist feature and a shorter stroke that both contribute to speedy handling.

The Benelli, like its semi-auto cousins has the "select slug" (as Awerbauck calls it ;) ) feature that allows you to cycle the action without feeding another round so you can manually throw in a shell of a different caliber (e.g. slugs vs. buckshot).

Apart from that, the Fabarm is lighter and kicks more..I HIGHLY recommend that you get the muzzle break if you have a hand injury.

They are pretty close in terms of fit and finish.

Good info guys, thanks.

Just to clarify my hand injury restricts length of reach between thumb and forefinger. Thus I require the pistol grip option.
Love the M4 but as a new shotgun shooter too much $$$$ at this point, but willing to go about that price. Hence the Benelli line and its competition is in play.
Will do more research on the Remington and Moseberg units. Unfortunately I find that many shop dealers are pushing their favourites thus bad mouthing most other models leaving me at a loss.

My reasons for this system is; I have interest in trying the three gun competitions so the ability to mount tactical sites, ghost ring or possibly rail for the EO tech (?? can EO Tech handle the recoil of the shotgun ??)

yes, the EOTech can handle it...in fact, it is commonly thought to be the best sight for a shotgun.

the new Remington tactical line comes with a Knoxx recoil reducing stock!

Interesting

Haven't seen this one yet!
But that appears to be inline with what I'm seeking. My wife has an EO Tech on her Stag-15 but wasn't sure if it could handle the 12. Info appreciated. Thanks.

This would be a nice gun if it came with a 14" barrel and pic rails on the top and bottom.

Remington would likely want upwards of $1000 for it though.

I saw one in Baron in Montreal (fixed stock with pistol grip) for $599.00
I was thinking of getting one, once the funds are available...
