Which would you prefer and why (aside from the Mossberg 14" not importable any longer to civlilans)... the Fabarm Martial Pro Forces w/14" bbl and pistol grip stock... or the Mossberg 590 w/14" bbl and SpecOps stock?

I have the Mossberg (basic stock currently), and have shot a few rds, but I find the slide action a little sloppy/rough. Perhaps it just me though. I have nothing else to compare it to though.

Also, might seem like a stupid question... but does the slide grip (sp?) on the Fabarm pump w/14" bbl rack back close to the trigger guard? Looking at pics, it seems like it almost as long as the barrel itself and a semi-auto perhaps.

Thx.

I can't speak about the Mossberg but I just bought a Fabarm Martial 14" and its a nice piece of kit. I also own a Reminton 870 Special Purose Marine Magnum and the Fabarm is by far a better weapon. The action is very smooth, crisp and precise. Mine didn't come with the pistol grip but I might order it later. I've already ordered a Picatinny rail from The Shooting Edge and will soon be ordering the TDI Light Mount and Surefire G2 light for it. The grip covers the loading port when the action is open, I think that's what you were asking. The end of the barrel is threaded for accesories like chokes and even a muzzle break.

Overall, its an awesome weapon.

With the possible exception of Benelli, Fabarm by far produces the highest quality riot-type shotguns in the industry.
