Yesterday, I finished inletting an old stock for my FN barreled action so that I could test fire it. The inletting, in itself, was a learning experience. Mistakes were made that will not be repeated when my new stock is made (ETA late April). I have a box of Norma 9.3x57 285gr Alaska SP's to shoot. Also I want to fireform some of my necked up 8x57 mauser brass.

I went into Sudbury to grab some bullets, 250gr Nolser Accubonds were all I could get. I learned today, when I made up a dummy round that my rifle has a huge lead to the rifling. I just sat the boattail of the Accubond into the neck of a 8x57 mauser brass (necked up to .365) and chambered it. It had a tight crush fit as I close the bolt, but it seems the Accubond did not touch the rifling. The C.O.L. for this configuration was 3.473", which is longer than my magazine.

For now, I just want to duplicate the pressure and velocity of the Norma factory loading until I feel comfortable with this rifle. This is what I paperwhipped to do this:

You could probably sanity-check that by looking at published data for the 358 win and the 9.3x62 - yours should fall smack dab in between the two
