Factory 10/22 scope mount?

Just picked up a new standard 10/22. I tried to mount a weaver aimpoint ring (replica) and it wouldn't fit. The slots didn't appear to be deep enough. I could rock it from end to end. Anyone else with this problem?

Does anyne know if the VQ mount will relieve this problem?

I mounted Power Custom 10/22 scope base and I use Weaver rings and it has worked great.

I just wonder if it's my ring and not the mount. It's from china so who knows what you're getting.

That could also be true. Well, at $15 it can't hurt to get the scope mount and if it still doesn't work then you know for sure that it's your mount.

If the ring is picatinny spec, it won't fit on a weaver rail.
