Factory 22-250 load data

Haven't had many complaints with most factory 50 or 55 grain options from the ones I've owned in the past. In most the cheaper 40-50 round boxes from Winchester, Federal and Remington provided good enough accuracy to keep any song dog inside 300yards in mortal danger.
Don't over think it, buy a couple boxes and see what your rifle likes.

I would go with Post #2 - I got my first 22-250 in 1970's - likely bought my last factory ammo for one about that time - I have been "rolling my own" since then - so I can not really offer what is "best" "modern" factory ammo for your rifle. Original 22-250 likely had twist rate suitable for 50 grain bullets of the day - I think most 55 grain bullets sort of for faster twist in 223 Rem (5.56 NATO) - I guess I would start with factory brand ammo in 50 grain bullet weight - as post above says - get several different brands to try - see what your rifle like best. Do not be overly surprised to see 3" or 4" in difference in group size - one brand to another in your rifle - and the groups might be in different places on the 100 yard target - so sight in your scope with the ammo that you will be using for real.
Contrary to what I just posted, my current reloading for 22-250 uses 55 grain V-Max bullets - they seem to produce groups suitable for what I want from them. Is a happy co-incidence for me that my 223 Rem seems to do okay with the same bullets, even though the barrel twist rates are different. Ruger 77 in 22-250 and Savage PC-10 in 223 Rem (5.56 NATO)

I shot 55g Hornady vmax for a long time out of my Tikka. No complaints but when I was getting low I found some Sako gamehead 50g for good price so I switched to that. I love both rounds for coyotes to be honest.
