Factory 26 Chinese SKS or 50,51,or 52 Tula instead

I have a site sponsor telling me what he has in stock are in fact factory 26, not sure about it, but I am intrigued to say the least and therefore unsure what to pursue......
 
I have an order in for a true /26\ should one show up with a board sponsor and they bring in the majority of Chinese. If it doesn't have a 26 in a triangle on the left side of the receiver, it isn't a Factory 26.

If you have a sponsor with true Factory 26 carbines, properly stamped I'd love to know who. Haven't found one yet from a sponsor, only EE sales.
 
What should a Factory 26 go for?? In your opinion? Just to be sure, I have sent the retailer a more specific question RE the /26\ stamping on the receiver. I will keep you posted!!!!
 
Depends on year. First year 1956? Refurbished or non? Blade bayo years or spike bayo? 81 or 82 being the last two years of stamped 26 receivers? Bakelite handguard on the 81 or 82?

Right now if I found a Factory 26 I'd be willing to spend more than the 180 dealers are selling the standard type 56 for,but not as much as a 49 Tula.

They aren't necessarily any rarer, they just aren't on the current shipments. Most of those are 306, 316 or not stamped at all.
 
If I had a true Factory 26, or a Tula 50, 51 or 52 on a shelf in front of me, and I could only buy 1.... From a collecting point of view.... I'd grab the Chinese 26.

Lots of Russians in lots of years and conditions. Lots of Chinese too, just not many around lately stamped 26. I'd go for the others later. Same advice for Yugos. They are starting to be less common too. Occasional EE sales.

All of the /26\ rifles I've seen up here except for the ones with the french ticklers have been refurbs. I'm sure there's some non-refurbs out there,just hard kinda rare. I'd not pay any more for a /26\ myself vs another regular SKS56.
 
I currently have a /26\ ,milled trigger group,threaded barrel on order with a site sponsor...not sure if that would make it a sino or not, however my request has yet to be fulfilled.

My order has been processing for over a month...when they come across my request, they will ship... won't be charged until then. I am most likely aways down the list as well.... could be summer before I receive...but thats ok with me,as long as my request is met.

decided on a Chinese, for now and placed my order. That should cover March's gun purchase or maybe thats March and april's since I bought 2 in March already...Lol. That is unless I come across another I really MUST have, then I guess I will spend May's gun budget in March too!
