Factory 5 round Lee Enfield mag question

I have this factory 5 rounder. Which one is it for? Don't have a rifle to try it in.

I believe they were used in BSA sporting rifles.

Looks like the one from my Churchill No4...there not as nice as the Parker Hale made ones...the bottom is a little round, just like mine. the Parker Hale ones I have, Has the bottom cut off and a new flat plate silver solder on.

I think that these drawn magazines replaced the cut and altered issue ones. Probably faster and cheaper, much less labour.

I think they were made by Parker Hale. (or Churchill?)

They look similar for both No 1 and No 4.

I'd try it in both actions and see if it fits and functions in one better than the other. For some reason the Brits didn't make the mags readily interchangeable between the 2 rifles but sometimes they fit.

I'll try my PH mag in my Churchill and vice versa ...just give me a minute... both are No4's

Just checked my Churchill, Parker Hale and Globco...they all fit in each other, there are all No4...Mk1's and MK2/3 . I didn't think there would be a problem...but you never know
My Churchill mag is the same, right down to the England on the bottom. How may rounds does yours hold?

There was just one on the EE not too long ago. Once you have a Churchill...all the rest come in second!! And I love my Parker Hale's....but the stocks are unbelievable...very nice. I'll post a pic of mine...it'll take a couple of minutes,

No4 mags fit in no1 rifles, at least mine does. No1 mag won't fit in no4 rifles from what I remember. Been awhile since I tried it.

Thats a very nice looking sporter, it has a lot of nice features.
