Factory ammo charge weights

Has anyone ever pulled a bunch of factory cartridges apart and weighed powder charges? I'm just wondering how close they get.

For the common calibers, an ammo company often has several machines making the same caliber. All the ammo gets dumped into the same pallet to go to inspection -packing.

As a result, the powder charge variation is bigger than it would be if all the ammo came from the same machine.

I have found commercial ammo to be very consistent. Milsurp, not so much.
