avoid light loads..... DEs like it HOT

:D ha ha

Justin, if you want my buddy who shoots a .44 mag can cook you up some 300 grain  paper punchers if you like.

Oh, and if you have a DE i wanna see it next saturday or friday night ;)

I believe the DESERT EAGLE needs jacketed bullets, I read some where that lead bullets will lead up the gas port in the barrel.

hahaha

Alex, can you imagine my little hands holding a DE. Too funny! But I'm getting closer and closer to the posession of one.

Let me know about your buddy's paper punching ammo. I would agree with Bearman that they should be jacketed because of the polygonal rifling.

But what I need to know is how hot is hot enough, and what factory ammos is best!

Justin

I meant paper punching.... with emphasis on punch... not those "wadcutters" or whatever, regular JHP bullets.

I will let you know as soon as I speak to him. In regards to cost.

if you want to reload try H110 powder; even with minimum loads it's more powerful than most other powders with max loads  makes for a nice fire works show as well ;)

For the 44 try Wichesters 240GR. Jaketed soft point, they are good at the range and have good penitration for hunting if that is your thing? Note: that DE does "stove pipe" with anything under 240GR.
I do like the Idea of 300GR. paper cutters...

For the 50 I move up to 300GR Jaketed soft point by Samson, They are manufactured in Israel (jusdt like the DE) by TAAS-Israel Industries Ltd.

Enjoy, That gun is made for fun....

I don't think I need more powerful loads. I'm having enough trouble with the factory 240 grain loads already. I am weak and have small hands. But I've always wanted a novelty gun like this. :D
