Does anyone crimp their smaller caliber rifle reloads say .243-.280
I guess the important question is do you crimp and notice a difference in accuracy.
For the sake of $13 dollars i've been considering it but I have not because I only neck size my brass and have not needed to trim my brass after the 5th reload. but have heard you will need to trim the brass before every reload?
What can you tell me?

I crimp for all my guns .243, 7-08 and 308, can't say that i've seen a super change in accuracy, but a little. I crimp more to protect my OAL, I pretty much load for hunting, so there is a lit loading and unloading the rifle, dropping the odd one on the ground, that sort of thing.

I crimp nothing but .45 ACP. Neck tension has been fine for 30 years or so.
You usually don't need to trim every time. Check the lengths, both the cases length and the loaded round though.

I use the lee factory crimp die on my 9mm and my 308 loads for my m-305. I dont crimp anything else , when you want to find out how tight the neck is holding the bullet , load up a dummy measure the OAL and then put the bullet tip down on something hard and put some weight on it (lean on it ) and then measure OAL and see if it moved . Its a good indicater to see how tight the neck is holding the bullet , none of my hunting rounds ever seem to move.
