Seems to be a huge shortage of target factory load in southwestern Ontario. Called wholesaler about top guns none in stock. Called about super target none in stock. Called about challengers none in stock. I am still set up for reloading, but over the last five years or so I have been shooting factory. I have enough for about six weeks then will have to start rolling my own. Regards Ken

Yeah. I checked a few stores over the weekend. They all said they haven't been able to get target loads for a few weeks now. Whatever is left in the stores that do have some left cost more than what I usually do.

Some of the gun shops might have a case or two. I usually get shells twice a year. 12 flats, of Super targets, Top guns or Challenger. 1 1/8 ounce 2 3/4 dram load of 8s,, or 7 1/2 would do. Some else told they ere out of primers last time he went to stock up. Have to wait and see , could be a long winter. thanks
for the feed back

I belong to a small group that has bought target ammunition bulk for the last fifteen years or so. Our usual manufacturer has no target loads available. As a result,we have been looking around for new sources. Both higher prices and low availability have been the common issues.

Adjusting to higher costs and/or shooting less may be what target shooters will be dealing with for awhile.

I feared that this might happen, and picked up an extra 20 flats of 12 gauge last summer. That will get me through the sporting clays season, and I have enough components to load 28 gauge and 410 for skeet,to last another year or two. That being said, I will keep my eyes open , and try and stock up even more, when I can

The old guys at the club years ago told me to always keep at least 5 years of components on hand and then try to double that for hard times or when you retire and your salary is cut
I listened too much I think when I counted my lead last year and had like 100 bags so sold off some to help others here.
I have always tried to keep two and a 1/2 to three high school lockers full of reloaded shotgun shells in most gauges no idea how many boxes that is but a lot since I was doing 410 and 28ga 5000 at a time on the 9000G
Cheers
