Factory rifle VS ammo question

Hi all,

I would like to know if a factory Rem700 chamber will digest the M118LR ammo without and issues?

If yes, where can I get such surplus ammo?

M118LR is just match grade 7.62 military ammo, fire away in your Rem 700. If you can find it, it won't be cheap.

I don't recall seeing surplus match ammo in my travels, but then I wasn't looking for .308. If your not going to reload and want to shoot the 175 SMK, Federal's website shows a GMM (GM308M2) with the same bullet available.
