What would be a fair price to pay for a Gevarm E1 22 ?
Hasn't been used for prolly 30 years, but is in very good condition, except for a few storage dings.
Didn't need much cleaning just basically used a toothbrush to get at the dust in all the nooks and crannys , took it apart ,(easy as it is a takedown model, )oiled it up and run a rag thru the bore(immaculate) .
Has an 8 shot mag .
Looked on the internet they go from 250 to over 500.

My dad used to have one. I don't remember a whole lot about it but I'm pretty sure it would fire from an open bolt? He wanted it to be my first rifle but he figured it was unsafe since I am left-handed. I ended up with a remington 581 instead.

Yes it fires from an open bolt.....takes some getting used to .
BTW I tried the Gevarm 8 shot mag in an open bolt auto Voere.....and it worked .The mag fits ,albeit a little loosely , and fires and cycles properly .

Interesting, I have a semi auto Voere, have to give this a try. FS

new E-2's have recently been in the market

There have been some brand new e-2's with 20 round mags selling very recently for $450.00 to $600.00. Superior to the E-1 because of the steel receiver. The E-1 has an aluminum receiver. take from this info what you will.

BTW. I love my ratty old E-1
PS It was my E-1 that gave Sponge Bob his cheeks.
