Fair price? suckered, you tell me

The last shipment is apparently coming into Marstar.

Afterwards, the price will be what is fair market value, which would probably be as high as the buyer will pay to get a Norc versus a Springfield etc.

As said above, price is relative to demand when ther is no continuous supply.

Could not wait for Marstar to get the new shipment in @ $399.00, So I ordered mine from Frontier, Got the same minus one 5rds mag for a little bit more....

A few times I was on the verge of ordering an $449 M14 as well, willing to pay more simply because they were in stock.

For that same reason I am still considering a lever arms type 97 because they have it on their shelf as we speak for $1200. If my willpower holds out, I would patiently wait and go with the Canada ammo $850 non-restricted rifle in Dec.

You can't accuse them of "ripping people off" for charging more when they have the product on the shelf, ready for summer fun, and the competition with the "fair" price won't have the product until there is snow on the ground.

I ordered the same. Marstar was out of stock at the time, they had them, so I bought it. I knew going in that it only came with 1 mag, they had it posted in the ad and were up front about it. I'd like to have the 5/20 and an extra 5rd mag, but I am also happy to have what I have.

The whole question of what is a "Fair" price comes up at least once a month on CGN. It usually is prompted by someone asking twice as much for an item that it sold for two years ago (while it was available - read $600 for an SKS-D ), asking more for a used gun than it costs new, or asking more than an identical item can be had for in the US, or even somewhere else in Canada.

I've seen whackos go so far as to suggest that sellers should be required to abide by some sort of CGN price controls that would make communists weak in the knees, after all we're all brothers, right?

Of course unless it's a life essential and under exceptional circumstances (like selling water after a disaster), "fair" is whatever the buyer and seller agree to.

Do some research and decide for yourself. If afterwards you experience buyer remorse, suck it up and learn for next time.

I thought you were going to say he paid $699 for an M305 :)... he didn't get the best deal, but I wouldn't say he was "suckered".

Griffoneur"s coments about the two separate factories and the respective differences in the way they package their products is to say the least an eye opener for me. Clearly , my buddy did indeed get a FAIR DEAL on his rifle and the associated kit. I was wrong and I am not afraid to own up to it . Once again ,my appologies to the store in Orillia and to those of you who were offended by this thread!
