Fair TRADE Value

What should I be looking for if I wanted to trade my M&P 9mm PRO in? Or would I be better off selling it privately and then making a new purchase.

Agreed totally. It's a win-win situation for yourself this way.

Where else would you get the exposure for your pistol like the EE. If you trade in, they want wholesale to sell retail to make a dollar or two. Somebody interested in buying a new PRO, will look strongly at a reasonable priced lightly used one first, or someone may have exactly what you're interested in sitting in their safe no novelty anymore and say what the hell I'll try an M&P pro for a change.
