alright gentlemen, usually im on top of the priceing game, keep a close eye on what my stuff is worth.

but im getting confused.

recently on the EE i saw a p.38 byf44, matching, go for 650 or so.. i think, which seems very steep to em for a late war p.38

so im thinking, whats my p.38 ac41 worth? personally im thinking 450..

its all matching, except the locking block, which is wartime marked with eagle and serial number.

ive asked around via pm, and peoples opinion vary from 450-750.. considering all involved.

heres some pics, take a guess...

The late-war P38's are generally worth MORE to collectors than your average 41-44 example. Not sure why? Guess it's just fascination with the late shortcuts, duo-tone, etc. SOME (but not all) 44's are considrered late war depending upon features.

The mismatched block REALLY hurts value. In honesty, I would not pay more than $350 for that pistol MAX. CGN tends to inflate values on alot of German stuff, but at retail there is NO WAY that gun sells for anything like $750. Maybe $450 to someone who just has to have one ot fill a hole. If matching, I would have gone as high as $450-500 if I was in the right mood :)

FWIW, P38 are no rare in Canada. One exception is the pre-war commercial(ish) Walther heerespistoles. They go for stupid money, again due to rarity.
