Howdy Folks,
this is outside of my area of expertise and I'm going to do some research for sure, but perhaps someone knows?
What is a fair price for the Mk2 helmet shell (no liner) from WW2 in excellent condition that appears to be unmolested?
Thanks much!

Is the chinstrap missing too? Mk2 shells alone without liner and chinstrap tend not to command a lot of money. Check ebay to get a more realistic value of what these things actually sell for.
You will definitely increase the value if you can find a chinstrap and liner to complete the helmet.

Thanks. That's perhaps the way to go, since I have a couple of these coming (shells only). Much appreciated.

I don't think a shell alone will be particularly interesting to a collector. They tend to want complete examples, with provenance or with distinctive features. Something that separates the run of the mill from the unexpected.

Ebay and Google Image search will start you along the path to knowledge.

Much appreciated. I don’t think that I will try to attract any collectors with these. Rather regular folks who would love to have a very nice example of WW2 helmet with the new liner...instead of the Chinese knock-off. Thank You.

Collectors Guilds out of Nova Scotia sells helmet with liner for about $130 cdn.

I would expect the shell to sell for half of that
