does anyone know how rare or if any of the fake Nazi marked Steyr M95s are in Canada?
I'd like one for my collection and there is always some for sale on gun broker in the US I was just wondering if I should look for one here or get one imported from the US.?

Do you mean you're looking for "fake" one? Why?

well some dudes made a bunch of fake steyrs with Nazi markings on them to make them more appealing to sell along time ago when they imported like 5 million of the things. we know they are fake now so that's what I mean.
just like the mauser guys here can tell you about fake SS markings on a lot of mausers from some importers.
I am collecting all the steyr models and this is just an interesting piece I would like to have.

You are probably better off buying the stamps and making your own fake. Buy the time you buy an inflated counterfeit, have it imported and pay those fees, you will have more than invested enough to instead buy some stamps, an M95 off the EE and the hammer to use the stamps. Get the SS stamps if you are making a fake, the loonies love fake SS marks, and one day 20 years from now when you sell the gun you will get a mint for it. Of course, if you want to go big, chrome the gun, carve "AH To EB With Love - 1945" on it and then you will have a wingding of a collectable.

PS don't forget to look around for some of the SS marked 8X56R boxes some a$$clown made up a few years back, that will add to the story.

Fake Proof stamps have also been on sale as of late from East Bloc Countries u can even find some on ebay as of late as well. Now just take a guess what they are being used for...

Importing one will cost a fortune. Far more than the rifle is worth. Even a faked stamped one that you'd never, ever get your money out of.

You mean... you mean... my single rune Cooey 82 is a fake?

But, but... it's even chambered for that powerhouse experimental Nazi round...the legendary 5.59 mm "Extra Long Rifle" developed in Peenemunde by...

... damn ! Up soon on EE !

So we've all read that these rifles were used by Axis forces. Were they stamped, or can any 8x56 Stutzen be considered a "Nazi" rifle?

Hi Guys,
I have a M95 rifle that some Bozo has sporterized by cutting down the wood. However this rifle has a rear sight that looks like it came off a K98 rifle.

I suspect that this rifle may have been converted to 8mm Mauser before Bozo got to it.

Are there any markings or indications (other than the rear sight) that will tell me is this was a conversion?

Best regards !!!!

Would it happen to have m95m stamped on the receiver ring?

easy way to tell is if there is a cut out in the receiver to take the mauser stripper clips. also the profile of the barrel is totally different on the 8mm guns.

I would say. nun of them are Nazi rifles. they would maybe be considered Axis guns. even if they were used by second line german units they weren't made by the Nazis.
