Quite a few people have been asking for the spec sheet on this scope. We had a few details, but nothing comprehensive. After hounding them for weeks, we finally received the full spec sheet. Unfortunately it is in PDF, so I took a screen shot of it. If anyone wants the original PDF feel free to email us. We'll try to get a copy uploaded to the website as well.

Please not that there is only one sunshade currently shipping with these scopes. I will check to see if this was Falcon's intention or if something got missed. For now, expect one sunshade to be included. Previous models used to ship with one long and one short. I will confirm if this has changed or not.

We have more of these coming in about a week. Please send all inquiries to mike@allengunworks.com.

A short one and a long one. Don't have the measurements off hand and the ones that just came in are all sold out. Perhaps someone who received one recently will chime in. Otherwise I will check with Falcon on the lengths. If memory serves me correct they are 1.5 and 3 inch.

so my scope should be on its way

You should have it by now. I don't know what is up with CP these days, but it seems to be taking forever to get things to people. If you don't receive it in he next couple of days send me an email and I will check the tracking number.

If anyone else has received theirs please chime in so I know how long it is taking.

I got mine today, thanks.

I got 2 questions though:

- you mention they come supplied with 2 sunshades, why did I only recieve just one?

- Why is there no markings whatsoever on the scope to identify the company name and model?

Interesting. I might have to double check that with Falcon.

They might only ship one with exports due to package size restrictions, not sure. If there is supposed to be two I will get you another one once I confirm. To be honest I wasn't even looking to see if there were one or two when I inspected them because I just got the spec sheet after they were shipped out. I will ammend the specs for now until it is sorted.

Not sure why they went away from putting markings on the scopes. I will ask them that as well.

How large a braing fart would I expect to have trying to go from MOA (very use to) to learning this MRAD system? I was playing with a gentleman's Falcon at the range yesterday - beautifully clear for what seems an inexpensive peice - I suddenly really think my .223 would love one - BUT MRAD has me a wee bit concerned - I have my .223 all firgure for MOA drops.
Is there a conversion chart somewhere?
What's it like to range with? FFP means ranging with it SHOULD be more accurate with my crappy eyes at any rate. :D

Better ask Tiriaq. He's my sniper partner at the NSCC Nationals (read: sniper Matches) and he's using a 4 x 14 FFP in MilRadians and I'm using a 4.5 x 18 x 56mm in MOA  We are sure gonna have a crapload of fun coaching each other regarding scope corrections when the winds shift around !

Falcon scopes rock.... especially for the price ! :)

I got mine too on Thursday of last week. Had it out to the range this weekend, mounted on my M14 and I love mine as well. In terms of the sunshade, there is just one there, came screwed onto the scope, along with small manual, allen keys, and lens cleaning cloth.

Love the scope so far, and I cannot wait to shoot it a little bit more. If anyone has more info on the use of the MRAD system, feel free to post that!

I haven't attended one of your workshops nor do I own an M14, but I knew for the price I better pick up 2 :D

For those asking about the sun shades, one measures an inch and a half and the other measures 3 inches. You can thread them together making a super sun shade.
EDIT: This is with the 4-14FFP, it came with 2, perhaps the 5.5-25s don't...

@Mike, keep me posted on my second 4-14FFP...

It should be here at the end of the week with the rest of the order.

+1 on only receiving 1 sunshade with my 56 - it was already threaded on the scope, nothing else in the box

On the bottom on the on the scope on the turret housing (saddle) the model should be engraved, in really really small print, mine says - MBM552656M = 5.5x25x56

I got the same markings, except mine reads MBM552556M:p
... looks a lot more like a serial number than manufacturer/model I.D.

I thought I'd have enough ring/base clearance to mount this fat bastard of a scope. I thought wrong.

I had a Mark 4 3.5-10x40mm mounted on medium height burris 30mm rings with Leupold QRW/PRW 2 piece base. Had lots of clearence, but the falcon 56mm won't fit.

AGW, would your lower profile EGW picatinny rail give me the extra height needed to mount this scope on my rem700 with the rings mentionned above?

if not do you think a standard height EGW rail would suffice? or do I need new/higher rings?

Our EGW rail is fairly low, so probably not. The TPS medium rings work fine with our rail and the 56mm on the 4.5-18x56. How much higher do you need to go? The standard EGW base is quite high, it might help you. We don't carry their standard bases though.

I don't have the numbers handy, but you can probably compare the height of your Burris rings to the height of the TPS rings and see if they will help. The height should be on their respective websites.

here's what I measured, if it helps.

Did I mention that this scope is BIG!!!,
here's a pic of it beside a bushnell 3200 3-10x40mm, and a mark 4 3.5-10x40mm.

The TPS rings are 1.075 from the center of the ring to the base, or .484 from the bottom of the scope. Nearly 1/4 higher. Not sure why Burris makes their rings so low.

For the price, we recommend TPS to all of our customers. Unfortunately, we don't carry them. (Problem trying to buy direct from TPS, long story). I believe ATR carries them, possible PGW as well.
