Sorry If this has been beat to death, first time on this CGN section, I tried to use the search engine to no avail....

Yea or Nay on this line of optics, from what I can gather they are (parts) produced in China then assembled and quality controlled in the UK, 'snipercentral' seems to like the line enough to carry them.....

Who has them and how do you like them ????????

These are handled by two CGN sponsors, Frontier Firearms as well Allens Gun Works who is also the importer for Canada. Click on the links in the banner ads.

Do not have one yet, but look to be good value.

I checked out the CDN retailers, and clicked on the reviews from 'snipercentral' it seems like a pretty good product,Im just curious about 'long term users' I dont want to end up with a 'leupold MK 4 clone';)

I have two that I have run for just over a year,no issuesand Mike at Allen gun works is stand up!!!!great service

Weather permitting I will be taking mine to the range for the first time this weekend. It's the falcon menace 4.5-18x56IR. First impressions were good. I am not sure how long these have been around for so I am wondering about the long term reliability of it.

I have the Menace 4.5-18x56IR and it's a nice scope, but I wish they would have had a 50mm objective instead of 56.

They are releasing a new Falcon Menace this april and all of the scopes will have the new updated turret design, which will allow you to have the lines match up on the turret and the base.

Get the 4-14-x44 as it has the one piece scope body.

Good luck.

We have been selling them since spring of 2007. We have sold almost 300 of them since then and have had less than 10 come back with actual factory defects. They were all replaced under warranty.

We have the 4-14x44FFP in stock in EMD and ML16, both metric.

They're a decent scope. The glass is good. The lenses are Japanese and all models are now at 94% light transmission. The features are excellent for the price. So... Chinese parts, Japanese glass and assembled in the UK.

I like the 4-14x 44mm ffp the best overall. However my 4.5-18x 56mm IR are good as well.

These scopes are your "bargain" scopes and in my opinion are excellent bang for the buck. They won't be replacing my high end stuff, but they definitely work well as a less expensive option on some of my rifles. I have a number of them on rimfires and two on .223 rifles.

Bottom line they work well, the glass is good, they have good reticles (ML-16) , and are decently made.

two

I have a 1.5-5x30SIR that used to be on my .270Win (til I sold the rifle. Kept the scope). Great hunting scope, illuminates when my eyes start to water.

I also have an older Merlin 4-14x42 with the MP20 reticle and 1/8 clicks on my .222Rem for target work and like it a great deal. The newer scopes will be brighter than this one, but not enough to make me trade in.

My buddy has the 4-14 FFP on a HS stocked savage 308. It works well for him but the FFP is really course and he sometimes has trouble shooting paper way out there( past 600 yards) but other than that is seems to work well.. He used it to take 2nd place at the Lande Tactical shoot in Drayton Valley in Aug 2009.
