They are similar, but are not the same scope rebadged.
The FM has better adjustment knobs, with Vernier scales. This is a real advantage for shooting the multiple distances in Service Rifle. For CQB, either should be fine. Both are 30mm, as far as mounting goes.
However.
My FM failed during the walk back zeroing stage of NSCC this year. I sent it to the business which is now handling the FM line, and the warranty. They received the 'scope on Sept. 8th; I have yet to hear word one about the scope. They neither acknowledged receipt, nor responded to my last email. I am assuming that I should just chalk this up to experience, and write the scope and this business off. I did get two seasons use out it. Fortunately I had another upper with another scope installed, and was able to compete.
I was very pleased with the scope, and endorsed it here for Service Rifle shooting. I can no longer do this.
