Okay guys/gals here is the deal

today I was bored so I figured why not count the elevation and windage on my Falcon Merlin 4-14x42 MP20

well here are my results (two blisters and 30 minutes later :slap:)

for elevation I counted and even 900 clicks at 1/8" so it = 112.5 MOA of adjustment

and for windage I counted 892 clicks at 1/8" so it = 111.5 MOA of adjustment :bangHead:, ps. not sure why we need so much windage unless shooting into a hurricane :slap:

I also adjusted the turrents to mechanical zero ;), for now

from Falcon info on the net they list the scope adjustments at 100 MOA each,

so my fellow owners: WHAT DOES YOUR FALCON SCOPE MEASURE TO?

Well I havn't "officially" checked my clicks, but I can assure you it isn't 100MOA of adjustment. I believe I am somewhere near the 54-58 MOA.

BTW - if you have 15 turns of the knob.....I assume you're waaaayyyyy above the hash marks on the turret base? ( I think there are 7 or 8 marks?)

Mine is zero at 100 yards and I have about 30-32 MOA up left, yes I got lucky with the mounting.

My understanding is that they should have 50 or a little more MOA of adjustment. Perhaps you got lucky.

They are nice scopes.

Did you watch the reticle move on a target for all those clicks? Sometimes you get clicks with no reticle movement as the erector tube hits the the limit of its movement (scope tube) and the turrets keep clicking.

The turns did go way above the last mark on the turret
I re-checked yesterday again, still the same count off by few clicks

as for reticle movement, I checked that the first time that I counted, actually at both extremes (UP, Left, Right) reticle moved, for UP at the last 2 turns it moved too much, that I get glare from the scope tube, but that could be cause by the sunshade:ninja:

Sorry it took so long

Ok, Ruthless. I took my scope off my PH tonight and am waiting for my M14 to mount it on so I thought this is the best time to get this done. Sorry that I haven't done a range report with said rifle but it just is not up to the task of being a tack driver to test a scope like this. When I get my M14 accurized I will complete that report.

After about an hours worth of clicks (did it with break to avoid blisters;)), the final talley is 920 elevation and 910 windage. I did look thought the scope when it was all the way to right and I couldn't see the complete image. I'm not sure I'm saying it right but I couldn't see a complete circle when looking in it. Once I turned it 10 or 15 clicks the opposite way the image was restored so I don't think that sould count as a useable measure for windage. So I would say that 900 is the USEABLE amount giving 112.5 inches total for both elevation and windage.

Just a not about these scopes..................

If you are adjusting the knob above the last hash mark (which you have no requirement to do), you are risking breaking the stop that prevents the turret from pulling right out of the scope. Once this breaks, it will drop down in front of the reticule, along with other debris, and render your scope useless.

We have checked with Falcon and warranty will not be honoured if this is the case. We have already had one come back for this reason.
