Well read in "Ontario Out of doors" that the MNR is considering a fall hunt for the birds. That would be nice to have another season but man, without the gobbling and mating, this hunt just got alot harder!!

Oo boy, trout fishing, i have to get my fly rod together :D:D ...now back on topic, another season would be great, i just wish they would allow it in the medway valley:D, there are 10+ or so birds down there(not to mention all the deer) To bad its in the city :(

id like it ive been bowhunting every fall and altho i might not see a deer everytime i always see tons of turkeys. they dont seem afraid of anyone in the fall. i think it would be great.

altho it would probably mean more idiots tresspassing and doing stupid crap where i hunt.

I wonder when in the fall the season would be. I don't know personally if I would hunt them in the fall. Ducks, geese, upland, deer and moose leave time pretty thin.

Mind you, if I didn't bag on of those tasty fellas in the spring...I may be more prone to going out in the fall for them...

this years turkey hunt starts on april 23 and goes until may 31. The proposed fall turkey hunt would take place in only 12 WMU's where turkeys have flourished. The OFAH is recommending the season run in October, so as not to conflict with the fall gun season for deer. Some good news is that you could turkey bowhunt during deer archery season and the turkey hunted could be of any ###!!

Turkey Season Opens On The 25th Of April Not The 23rd !!!!!!!!!!!!! Check the regs!

I don't think the regs are out yet for 2007. (Not on the MNR website anyway)

I find it odd that turkey season would open on a Wednesday though? It usually opens on a Monday...which would be the 23rd. OR the 30th, but that would cut the season a week short.
