Fall Turkey with bow. 29inch DL too long?!?!?

Hey everyone,

I want to take my bow out this fall and try to get a turkey. I look to renew my license and see the regulations for bow hunting turkey require 27.6" draw length or less. What gives? I Shoot an older Bear Instinct with a 29" draw, am I SOL? What's the thinking behind regulating that specific length? Do you guys have a specific bow for turkey with a shorter draw? I think I know the answer but thought this might be a good question for this weekend. Feel free to post your turkey bow rig. any info for a newb will help.

you're misinterpreting the reg. its talking about the minimum draw weight you need to have. the length you quote is the length at which they use to measure draw weight.

for example, at any draw length less than 27.6in, the draw weight must measure ~40lbs.
