Falling plate

I wanted to make up some steel targets.
but was thinking most targets swing upwards and thus bullets deflect down.
I wanted my target to fall over backwards .they will be in front of a berm at 400 +.
Will this make for a dangerous situation ?,of the bullets skippin upwards off the target and over the berm?

make it so the target is leaning forward, have a spring loaded catch on the back so that when the bullet strikes the target it will push it forward and unlatch itself and fall forward....

the bullet will then be directed downwards .... may take some fiddling but should not be to hard.... make sure to put a grease fitting or two at the hinge point though to keep it lubed, because that will affect the pressure neded to release more then anything.

the main reason the steel targets swing is so u can shoot them multiple times without needing to drive down range to set them up
