Famae 540-1M Pmag Conversion

Has anyone done the permanent mod or using the kit from GS? I’m in the market for this rifle but the price of mags are a real issue.

I have the kit from GS. Works well with plastic magazines. There is some seating "slop" , so I always make sure the mags are up a certain way so as to negate the theororetical chance of a misfeed.
No misfeeds yet.
My metal 1980's era mags have had issues. Mainly last round not hoding open.
I wish the GS kit was made of metal, or maybe a metal like polymer, because GS instructions say metal mags may wear down the GS kit over time.

I have used/tried 2 or 3 Magpul mags (i dont know if they are gen 2 or 3), a couple of Lancers and an old CAF Thermold!

I think I'm going to do this eventually. I may need extra stickers for my metal magazines!
